Recognized as the flagship program of SBI Foundation, it is a 13-month long fellowship that enables the nation's youth to work on rural development projects in partnership with experienced NGOs.
The fellowship provides a framework for India's best minds to join hands with rural communities, empathise with their struggles and connect with their aspirations.
SBI Youth for India Fellowship 2022 attracts young leaders who experience a transformative leadership journey during the fellowship. The fellows selected for the fellowship will receive INR 50,000 and other benefit. Details of the Fellowship scheme given below:

Eligibility for SBI Youth for India Fellowship 2022
To be eligible, an applicant must –
Be Indian or Overseas citizens of India
Be between 21 and 32 years of age as of the date of commencement of the programme. (between 21 and 32 years of age on the day of commencement of the program, i.e., the candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1990 and not later than 1st October 2001.)
Have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree before the commencement of the program
SBI Youth for India Fellowship 2022 benefits
The fellows will receive the following benefits –
- A monthly allowance of 15,000 INR for the duration of the programme to meet your living expenses.
- A monthly allowance of 1,000 INR for the duration of the programme to meet your transport expenses.
- A readjustment allowance of 50,000 INR upon successful completion of the fellowship
The cost of the return 3AC fare from your residence to the project site location as well as expenses incurred on travelling for training programmes.
The applicants will be covered by a med claim policy.
You will be assisted by the local NGO staff to find suitable accommodation with safety in mind.
The partner NGO will also arrange for necessary support as and when required.
An SBI Youth for India team member will be available for overall support & guidance.

Application process for SBI Youth for India Fellowship 2022

- Enter a valid email ID to proceed with ‘Preliminary Application’. Fill in the details step-by-step and submit.
- After completing the ‘Preliminary Application’, a link will be sent on the registered email to being with the ‘Online Assessment Stage’.
- Fill in the application form with all the required details, answer the essay questions and upload the relevant documents.
- Submit the application.
SBI Youth for India Fellowship 2022 selection process
Stage – 1 (Preliminary Application)
Applicants can begin the first stage of the application process by sharing a few basic details in the preliminary application form at https://you4.in/yfiorg/
In this stage, the candidates are required to share their basic details like professional background, academic details, etc.
Stage – 2 (Online Assessment)
Upon the completion of the first stage, the selected applicant will be invited for the Online Assessment Stage, where they will be required to answer in-depth essay questions, which will give us a glimpse into the applicant’s world-views, perceptions and overall approach towards the fellowship.
Stage – 3 (Personality Assessment & Interview.)
To understand certain attitudinal aspects of the potential candidates, they will be required to take the personality assessment test. Post successful completion of this test, the candidates will be invited for the final interview for an interaction with a Selection Board.
SBI Youth for India Fellowship 2022 Post Selection Preparation
The selected fellows will be given access to certain documents related to the NGO’s thematic program areas, which will help them start their initial preparation in regards to the NGO and the programs & initiatives that it runs. Fellows can read and familiarize themselves with the document-deck, to be able to decide their preferred programme thematic area.
Terms and Conditions of SBI Youth for India Fellowship 2022
SBI Youth for India does not offer any job post the completion of the 13-month programme.
SBI Youth for India continuously engages with the shortlisted applicants over an online forum to know them better and clarify their doubts.
YFI Fellowship is a full-time programme. So, the fellows need to stay in the project location for the entire duration. There is no scope for part-time participation.
While answering the essay questions in the application form, there is a timestamp of 60 minutes for feeding responses to all three questions.
At least two fellows will be posted at one project location.
The Online Assessment should be completed and submitted within 10 days of receiving the invitation for Online Assessment.
