BSF Recruitment 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have the qualification of 10th and 12th passed from a recognized Board. Those who are applying for the post of SI (Engine Driver) must have a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Board.
BSF Constable HC And SI Qualification Details :
SI (Master) (Group – ‘B’):
10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University
2nd Class Master Certificate issued by the Central /State Inland Water Transport Authority /Mercantile Marine Department.
Age Limit: 22 to 28 Years
SI (Engine Driver) (Group – ‘B’):10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University
1st Class Engine Driver Certificate issued by the Central or State Inland Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department.
Age Limit: 22 to 28 Years
SI (Workshop) (Group – ‘B’):Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
03 years Diploma in Mechanical or Marine or Automobile Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
Age Limit: 20-25 Years
HC (Master) (Group – ‘C’):Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent and Sarang Certificate.
Age Limit: 20-25 Years
HC (Engine Driver) (Group – ‘C’):Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent
Possessing 2nd Class Engine Driver Certificate.
Age Limit: 20-25 Years
HC (Workshop)-Trade (Group – ‘C’):Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent
Industrial Training Institute Diploma in respective trade (i.e. Motor Mechanic (Diesel/Petrol Engine) Machinist/Carpentry/ Electrician/ Air conditioner Technician/Electronics and Plumbing) from a recognized Institution.
Age Limit: 20-25 Years
CT (Crew) (Group – ‘C’):Matriculation from a recognized board or equivalent.
One year experience in operation of Boat below 265 HP.
Should know swimming in deep water without any assistance and will submit an undertaking certificate as per Annexure- ‘D-1’ along with Application Form.

BSF Recruitment 2022 PAY SCALE
- (i)SI (Sub Inspector) = Level - 6 (Rs. 35,400 - 1,12,400/-) in the pay matrix.
- (ii) Head Constable : Level - 4 (Rs. 25,500 -81,100/-) in the pay matrix.
- (iii) CT (Crew): Level - 3 (Rs. 21,700 - 69,100/-) in the pay matrix
