LIC AAO Education Qualification
For AE (Civil): B.Tech/B.E. (Civil) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. The candidate should have a minimum of three years of working experience in the planning and execution of multi-storied building projects with all required infrastructure.For AE (Electrical): B.Tech/B.E. (Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. The candidate should have a minimum of three years of working experience in the planning and execution of multi-storied building projects with all required infrastructure.
For Assistant Architect: B. Arch. from a recognized Indian University/Institution. The candidate should be registered with the Council of Architecture and possess a minimum of three years of experience in designing all types of buildings with allied services. The candidate should also be well versed with green building design requirements and application of AutoCAD software and/or similar type software
For AE (Structural): M. Tech / M.E. (Structural) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/ Institution. The candidate should be well versed in the structural design of high-rise buildings with the foundation system. He/she should be familiar with various standards of BIS pertaining to structural design and Foundation design and must be experienced in the handling of structural engineering software like ETABS, STAAD, etc. Candidates applying for the post must possess a minimum of one year of hands-on experience in the area
For AE (MEP engineers): B. Tech./ B.E. (Mechanical/ Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. The candidate should have a minimum of three years experience in planning and execution of Plumbing / Piping / HVAC systems, Lift & Fire Fighting systems, Electrical Sub-station in multi-storied buildings.
For AAO (Chartered Accountant): – Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountant and completion of Articles as presented by Institute of Chartered Accountant. The candidate should be an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
For AAO (Actuarial): – Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have compulsorily passed 6 or more papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. as on the date of eligibility. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK
For AAO (Legal): Bachelor’s degree in Law or LLM from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Three years of Bar experience is essential.
For AAO (Rajbhasha): Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level OR Post-Graduate Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s degree level OR Post-Graduate Master’s Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor’s degree level.
For AAO (IT): Graduation degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT or Electronics), or MCA or MSC (Computer Science) from a recognized Indian University/ Institution.
LIC AAO AE Selection Process 2023
A three-tiered process has been mentioned in the notification for the selection of LIC AE &AAO posts. This includes:Phase 1 or Preliminary Examination:- Objective type exam(Online Mode). Candidates equal to 20 times the number of vacancies in each category, subject to availability, will be shortlisted for the Mains examination.
Phase 2 or Main Examination:- Objective +Descriptive Exam(Both Online Mode). Descriptive Exam will be qualifying
- Marks of English will not be counted for ranking in both phase 1 and phase 2
- Candidate MUST pass in each Section separately and should also obtain minimum marks in the aggregate to qualify for the online examinations (Preliminary and Main) and the interview
- Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for shortlisting for interview and marks obtained in Main Examination + marks obtained in Interview will be considered for final merit listing of candidates.
- After the interview, candidates will be called for a medical examination too. Only Medically fit candidates will be considered for final appointment as per the rules

The Syllabus for LIC AAO 2023 consists of the topics covered in Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension, and General Awareness. The prelims and mains syllabus is almost the same except there are General Awareness, Data Analysis, and Interpretation, Professional Knowledge and Insurance, and Financial Market Awareness are added subjects of LIC AAO & AE Mains Exam.

LIC AAO Salary Structure- PayScale
The pay scale of LIC AAO is Rs 34,405- 1610(14) –55335– 1745(4) –62315. The basic pay starts with Rs 34,405, where there will be an increment of Rs 1610 for 14 years. With Rs 55335 as the next basic pay, the increment amount will be Rs 1745 for the next four years. After 4 years, 62315 becomes the next basic pay, which becomes the maximum basic pay of a LIC AAO AE.
Allowances of LIC AAO AE Salary
As per the salary slip, the allowances included in the salary are listed. These allowances are an appeal to the candidates. Please note that these allowances may vary from city to city. The Approximate value for an A-class city is Rs 57000/- per month.
