Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 Educational Qualification

As far as education qualification is concerned.. B.Tech, BE, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Sc(IT), PG Diploma, M.Sc, MBA, MCA, M.Sc(IT), Commercial Pilot License along with prescribed physical standards are mentioned. Candidates will be selected based on merit list without written test.

The eligibility criteria depend on the post for which you are applying for. Check out the educational qualification for all branches.

For Executive branch:

  • Candidates must possess BE/B.Tech in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks.

For Education Branch: 

  • Candidates must have secured 60% marks in M.Sc. in relevant discipline.

For Technical Branch: 

  • Candidates possessing BE / B.Tech with minimum 60% marks in (i) Mechanical/Mechanical with Automation; Marine; Instrumentation; Production; Aeronautical; Industrial Engineering & Management; Control Engg; Aero Space; Automobiles; Metallurgy; Mechatronics; Instrumentation & Control.

Indian Navy SSC Officer Salary: 

  • The basic pay of SLt starts from Rs. 56,100/- along with other allowances as applicable.

The selection procedure is as follows

(a) Shortlisting of application will be based on normalised marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree. Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree will be normalised using formulae mentioned in Join Indian Navy website (URL:- https://www.joinindiannavy.gov.in/files/normalisation.pdf )

(b) BE/ B.Tech. For candidates who have completed or in final year of BE/ B.Tech, marks obtained upto fifth semester will be considered for SSB shortlisting.

(c) Post-Graduate Degree Programme. For candidates who have completed MSc, MCA, MBA, M.Tech, marks obtained in all semesters will be considered. For candidates who are in final year, shortlisting will be based on pre-final year performance.

(d) Candidates selected in the final merit list will be required to submit the proof of completing the qualifying degree with minimum 60% marks by sending an email at the address officer@navy.gov.in . Candidates failing to meet the criteria will not be permitted to join the Academy.

(e) Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail or SMS (provided by candidates in their application form). Candidates are advised not to change their e-mail/ mobile number till selection process is over and check their inbox and spam folder periodically.

(f) Change of SSB Centre for interview is not permissible under any circumstances

(g) Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates be addressed to the call up officer of the concerned SSB on receipt of call up letter. Candidates are to download the call up letter on receiving intimation from IHQ MoD (N) at SMS/ email (provided by candidates in their application).

(h) No compensation is admissible in case of any injury sustained as a result of tests during SSB interviews.

(j) AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for particular type of commission. Candidates are required to bring photocopy of the first page of pass book or cheque leaf where the name, A/C No. & IFSC details are mentioned, while appearing for SSB.

INDIAN NAVY RECRUITMENT 2024: HOW TO APPLY

Step 1: Navigate to joinindianavy.gov.in, the official website of the Indian Navy.

Step 2: Locate and click on the Apply Online link that will be available on the homepage.

Step 3: A new window will be displayed where candidates will have to choose the correspondence state, followed by the captcha.

Step 4: Now, generate login credentials by registering yourself on the website.

Step 5: Once done, login and fill out the application form by adding all the necessary details.

Step 6: Attach the required documents, like passport-size photographs, mark sheets, etc., and pay the registration fee.

Step 7: Check all the details added before submitting the Indian Navy SSC officer recruitment application form.

Step 8: If required, save and take a printout of the confirmation page for your reference.

INDIAN NAVY RECRUITMENT 2024: DOCUMENTS REQUIRED


–– Marks sheets up to the 5th and 7th semesters for regular and integrated BE/B.Tech. programmes, as well as all semester records for other degree exams.

Merchant Navy certificate from the Government of India, Ministry of Shipping and Transport.

–– NCC ‘C’ certificate from the National Cadet Corps.

–– Recent passport-size colour photograph.

Scan all documents in original JPG or TIFF format. Ensure the scanned documents are legible and readable to prevent application rejection.
