AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls 2024-25 is an initiative for girls who are enrolled in the first year of a technical program (degree or diploma) at an AICTE-approved institution. The scheme is being implemented by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to provide financial assistance for the advancement of females in India pursuing technical education. The selected candidates will receive annual financial assistance of ₹50,000 for every year of study.

AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls 2024-25 Pursuing Technical Diploma or Degree




Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:- be a female Indian national
be admitted to the first year of a diploma or degree program at an AICTE-approved institution OR
be admitted to the second year of a diploma or degree program through lateral entry at an AICTE-approved institution for the respective year
have a family income of less than ₹8,00,000 per annum

Note:- Up to two female members per family are eligible for this scholarship.

Benefits

A total of 10,000 scholarships are available each year, with 5,000 awarded for diploma programs and 5,000 for degree programs. Selected students will receive a one-time scholarship of ₹50,000 per year for each year of their studies till the course completion.

Note:-
Additional grants will not be provided for hostel charges, medical charges, etc.
In addition to the above-mentioned number of scholarships, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will also award scholarships to all eligible females from the following 13 Union Territories and North Eastern States who submit an online application:
  • Andaman and Nicobar Islands (UT)
  • Jammu and Kashmir (UT)
  • Ladakh (UT)
  • Dadra and Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu (UT)
  • Lakshadweep (UT)
  • Arunachal Pradesh
  • Assam
  • Manipur
  • Meghalaya
  • Mizoram
  • Nagaland
  • Sikkim
  • Tripura

Documents

  • Copy of Marksheets from Class 10 and 12 (as applicable)
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Income Certificate issued by the State/UT Government for the preceding financial year
  • Admission Letter for a degree/diploma program issued by the Directorate of Technical Education
  • Receipt of tuition fee payment
  • Copy of a bank account passbook seeded with an Aadhaar Card showing the applicant's photograph, account number, and IFSC code
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • A duly signed declaration by parents confirming the accuracy of the information provided in the application form

How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-

Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.

Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).

Step 3: Navigate to the 'Students' option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.

Step 4: Now, click on the 'Login' button under the OTR option as it is required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

Step 5: Click on the 'New user? Register yourself' on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.

Step 6: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Next' button.
Step 7: Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the registration process.

Step 8: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the 'One-time registration (OTR)' process. (Note:- This is a temporary registration number, students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the OTR process.)

Step 9: After successful registration, navigate to the 'Apply for Scholarship' option and click on the 'Login' button.

Step 10: Select the scholarship, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit.

Note:- All the applicants are advised to fill in the information correctly on the application form. Once the application is submitted, no changes can be made. Additionally, submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.

Selection Criteria

Student selection is based on merit in the qualifying examination required to pursue a technical degree program at an AICTE-approved institution. This includes students entering the first year or the second year (through lateral entry only) and is determined by the percentage of marks obtained in the 10+2 (or equivalent) examination.
