The Prime Minister Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India is a prestigious program of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJ&E). The scholarship scheme is actually an educational assistance scheme for financially backward EBC, OBC and DNT students. This scheme has been issued by the Central Government keeping in mind the high-quality studies for students.
The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance through scholarships for financially backward and underprivileged students to further their education. Students must be eligible for this scheme to take advantage of it. Students of classes 9 to 12 and professional course students can take benefit from this scheme. The last date of the PM Yasasvi scholarship for top-class schools is October 15, 2024, and October 31, 2024, for a top-class college education.
PM Yasasvi Scholarship 2024
The PM Yasasvi Scholarship Scheme is basically an educational support program through which tuition fees, book fees and other educational expenses are covered. Students from class IX to professional courses can participate in this scholarship scheme. For this reason, this scholarship scheme is divided into two categories pre-matric and post-matric.Students belonging to the OBC, DNT, and EBC categories get educational assistance through this scholarship scheme. Out of which eligible students of pre-matric category get Rs 4000, in case of post-matric category students of class 11 and class 12 get Rs 5000 and in case of professional course students get Rs 20000 as educational allowance. Students can apply for this scheme by visiting the national scholarship portal i.e. scholarships.gov.in. But students should remember that their annual family income should be below Rs 2.5 lakhs.

Eligibility Criteria
- Students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), and Denotified, Nomadic Tribes (DNT).
- Applicants must be pursuing studies beyond Class XII.
- Applicants total annual family income from all sources must be up to ₹2.50 lakhs.
- Students must secure admission in a full-time prescribed course in any of the notified institutions as per the general selection criteria of the concerned institution.
- Benefits under the scheme are limited to two siblings per family.
- Students must submit an affidavit certifying they are not the third sibling availing of benefits under the scheme.
Allocation of Slots:
- If eligible candidates in the 1st year are fewer than the allocated slots, remaining slots may be offered to eligible students in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year based on inter-se merit of the previous year's results, prioritizing students with more years left to complete the course.
Reserved Slots for Girls:
- 30% of slots in each institution are reserved for eligible girl students based on inter-se merit.
- In the absence of sufficient eligible girl students, slots may be transferred to eligible boys based on inter-se merit.
Exclusion of Merit-Based Girl Students:
- The 30% reservation does not include girl students selected on overall merit from OBC/EBC/DNT categories.
Eligible Institutions:
- Includes IIMs, IITs, IIITs, AIIMSs, NITs, NIFTs, NIDs, Indian Institutes of Hotel Management, National Law Universities, and other Central Government Institutions.
- Must apply for inclusion in the scheme or be recommended by the Selection Committee.
Additional Eligible Institutions:
- Institutions accredited by NAAC with A++ or A+ ratings.
- Top 100 institutions in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
- Institutions of National Importance as listed by the Ministry of Education (GoI).
Commercial Pilot Training Courses:
- All Government institutes approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation.
Capping of Fresh Scholarships:
- The overall number of fresh scholarships is capped as per the budget for the financial year.
- Distribution of slots among institutions is based on committee recommendations.
List of Benefits
Eligible students will receive scholarships to cover:- Tuition Fees and Non-Refundable Charges: Up to ₹2.00 lakhs per annum for private institutions and ₹3.72 lakhs per annum for private sector flying clubs for Commercial Pilot Training and Type Rating Courses.
- Living Expenses: ₹3,000 per month.
- Books and Stationery: ₹5,000 per annum.
- Computer/Laptop with Accessories: One-time assistance of up to ₹45,000.
Selected students will receive awards as follows:-
For Class 9 and 10: An annual scholarship of maximun ₹75,000
For Class 11 and 12: An annual scholarship of ₹1,25,000
Note:-This scholarship will cover tuition fees, hostel fees, and other necessary expenses as mandated by the school.

Terms and Conditions
- Students must have an active bank account to receive the benefits of the scholarship.
- 30% of the scholarship is reserved for female students.
- Students enrolled in schools assisted under this scheme are not eligible for assistance from any other government scheme for the same items or purposes already covered under this scheme.
- The selection criteria may be subject to modifications, and students are advised to refer to the latest guidelines provided by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
- A committee will be formed to evaluate and shortlist top-performing schools that have consistently achieved a 100% pass rate in the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. The committee will be chaired by the Joint Secretary (BC) in the Ministry and will include representatives from the Department of School Education and NITI Ayog.
- Selected schools must have an Aadhaar-based attendance system in place that can be integrated with a central portal if necessary.

పరీక్షల తీరు ఇలా..
- మూడు కొనసాగే పరీక్షలను హిందీ, ఇంగ్లిష్ భాషల్లో నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఎలాంటి పరీక్ష రుసుం ఉండదు.
- పరీక్ష పత్రంలో వంద బహుళ ఐచ్ఛిక ప్రశ్నలు ఉంటాయి. గణితంలో 120 మార్కుల కోసం 30 ప్రశ్నలు, సైన్సులో 80 మార్కుల కోసం 20 ప్రశ్నలు, సోషల్లో 100 మార్కుల కోసం 25 ప్రశ్నలు, జనరల్ అవేర్ నెస్ లో 100 మార్కుల కోసం మరో 25 ప్రశ్నలుంటాయి.
- దేశవ్యాప్తంగా దాదాపు 78 నగరాల్లో ఈ పరీక్షలు జరుగుతాయి.
- గతేడాది సెప్టెంబరు 11న ఈ పరీక్షలు జరిగాయి. ఏప్రిల్ 15 నుంచి ఈ ఏడాది నమోదు ప్రక్రియ ప్రారంభమైంది. ఆగస్టు 26తో పూర్తి కానున్నది.
